Earlier this year Project Lead the Way changed the way that students and teachers log into their classroom resources. With that change, we can now use ClassLink to log in.

For PLTW Launch (K-4) students, I can create shared login credentials so the everyone in the class can use the same username/password. See me for details. (This is new for fall, 2020) The username IS case-sensitive. If your iPad capitalizes the first letter, be sure to delete it before proceeding. |

Our District uses PLTW's innovative and engaging classroom resources with all students in grades K-4, and also at the middle school in a computer science course. This is an exciting year, too, since the long-awaited new modules have been added to complete the alignment of all Next Generation Science Standards for grades K-4. The coursework also meets the State of Iowa recommendations for Computer Science for elementary students and aligns with many math and language arts standards.
In the past, having students type in usernames/passwords was a barrier to using the digital resources. PLTW offers print resources for class situations where there is limited technology available. With this arrangement now, once a student is logged in for the first time through ClassLink, their credentials will be 'remembered'. This may help in creating an engaging classroom environment, while limiting contact with students.
