Sight Words for Early Learners

I recently published an iBook on Apple's iTunes Store.  It is called Sight Words for Early Learners, and it is available on Apple's iTunes Store at this link.

Option 1 (preferred):  Download the iBook at this link. On your laptop it will go to your downloads folder. From your iPad.  This will go to your Downloads folder.  You may move it to a better location.  Double-click on it to open with iBooks.  You may Air Drop the file to any other Apple laptop or iPad, whether student or teacher.

Option 2:  Download the iBook from the iTunes Store at this link.  You will need you Apple I.D. and password, just like any other personal applications, music, or movies.

Options 3:  Download the iBook from Self Service.  You will need an Apple ID and password to do this.

Intended audience:  K-1 students and beginning readers

Purpose:  This can replace flash cards of the 11 lists of 20 sight words our students are tested on.

A big difference here is that students can get quick feedback by hearing the words, if desired.

Two different kinds of lists are included in this interactive book:  one behaves like a stack of flashcards and the other shows the complete lists.

 This iBook was created using
  • Quicktime for the audio,
  • Keynote for the slideshows, and
  • iBooks Author to assemble and publish the project.
Your Feedback:  This iBook is published, but it is still in a draft form.

Audio is included for the first 7 lists.  My 5-year-old helper's (daughter) work time for this project has been limited.  I hope to have the remaining lists completed by this weekend.

Please share constructive feedback on where I can make improvements with our young learners in mind.
I would like to know that this can be useful, whether at home or school.  We can re-do any words that are not loud enough or are not pronounced very well.  I will also make some adjustments on the color scheme, but will still keep them relatively neutral.

Please let me know if you would like to get started publishing to the iTunes Store for our school community.
