Starting instruction with Apple

Apple Schoolwork has been up and rolling this school year.  It has been working very well to deliver collaborative and engaging lessons on the iPad.  For many, it creates easier delivery of work that you were already prepping for your students.  It does not replace applications like SeeSaw or Google Classroom.  Let me know if you would like to see how it has been used here at Grinnell.  We have learned a lot from the piloting work done so far this year.  Click here for more details.

Every teacher should have an Apple Teacher certification.  It provides a starting point to effectively using the applications that come with your students' iPads. If/when you get this completed, please send me a screenshot of your completion 'badge'.  It is free and personalized for you.  Therefore, you will need to use your personal Apple ID to get logged in.  Click here for more details.

Every student and teacher in the district has a Managed Apple ID available.  It allows many applications and documents on our devices to be collaborative.  It will also automatically back them up.  This is necessary for Apple Schoolwork to function.  Click here for more details.

The Apple Classroom app has been around for a couple years now.  It has proved to be a quick and easy way to engage and manage students.  On March 25th, Apple will have it's next-big-thing announcement.  As well as it works on the iPads, I am hoping to see this expanded to our laptops.  Click here for more details.
